Nate Roets

After graduating from UW-Madison with a history and political science degree and intending to go to law school, I began substitute teaching in multiple districts around Madison. I quickly realized my love for education and helping students learn and grow. Rather than attending law school I went back and earned my teaching certification.  For the past eleven years I have taught high school social studies in Kewaunee, WI.  Three years ago the Kewaunee School District hired me as their Activities Director. In the 2014-2015 school year, I became the Kewaunee High School Dean of Students, while still continuing as a part time teacher and the district’s Activities Director.
I am elated to be a part of the Rosendale Brandon School District and to continue Laconia’s and Cirrus’s educational successes. Our staff provides our students with the opportunities to be successful in whatever path they choose, whether it be post-secondary education, the world of work, or service to their country. At both Laconia and Cirrus we offer a curriculum that is both high quality and well balanced.  With our wide variety of Advanced Placement courses and Youth Apprenticeship program, we are able to offer a big school curriculum, yet still remain a small school. Teachers provide rigorous curriculum and learning experiences while still maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
