The Rosendale-Brandon School District is pleased to announce that the PowerSchool Student/Parent Portal has opened. Parents and students can use the PowerSchool Student/Parent Portal by clicking on the PowerSchool link on the left to see grades and attendance, see whether or not homework has been turned in, and read notes from your teachers.
Parents have received information including the necessary IDs and passwords to access the Parent Portal with report cards. Parents will have a separate ID and password for each student. Students in grades 6-12 will receive their username and password at school. Please contact the building secretary if you have not obtained a password and ID. Information about the Parent Portal is also available by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
While posting grades and other information online can greatly enhance home/school communication, we understand the importance of keeping private information private. PowerSchool uses the highest level of security available, including the same technology used by leading banks and brokerage firms to protect online transactions. Every user's access is authenticated to securely display only the information to which he/she is authorized.
We will still issue printed report cards and progress reports as usual to keep you regularly informed about your student's progress, whether or not you choose to activate your PowerSchool Parent account. Contact your child's teacher whenever you have a question or concern about your student's grades.
As always, we welcome any opportunity to communicate with parents. Parental involvement is critical to student achievement. The opening of the Parent Portal creates yet another avenue of communication for parents and teachers. Used appropriately, it can provide valuable information about a student's academic progress in his/her classes.
